About. Вероника Трубникова — фотохудожница / Veronika Trubnikova — photoartist

Veronika Trubnikova is a Moscow based artist, mentor, founder of the platform Photohuman. Born in 1980 in Novosibirsk, Siberia.

She studied economics and math in Novosibirsk State University and after graduation moved in Moscow to continue education. After more then 15 years of a marketing career she started as a photoartist and graduated Rodchenko Art School in 2022.

On March 2022 published her first photo book “Future Perspectives”, starting to participate in exhibitions in Russia and abroad. The photobook has been released in 2 editions in Russian and English. At the moment, the book is presented in the fund of the MMOMA educational center and in a number of foreign stores and galleries. The book was included in the shortlist of “The best photobook of the year 2023” award by PHotoESPAÑA.

Veronika’s works participate in personal and group exhibitions in Russia, Greece, USA and Spain and have special mentions from the jury of international contests.
She uses both digital and film cameras, prefers analog shooting in natural light.
Veronika assigns an important role to the economy of narration in both visual and meaningful senses, leaving to the viewer a space for imaginative perception. Great importance attaches to the shooting space, often making the landscape a separate character.
She often turns to the topic of boundaries — physical and mental: dividing communities, individuals, personal and public, past and present, possible and impossible. She is also interested in what it means to live without belonging to any of the parties separated by the border.

In 2025, Veronika launched the Photohuman.space project, working at the intersection of interior design and modern photography. The aim of the project is to introduce viewers to the authors through designers, helping to create aesthetically perfect spaces.

Trubnikova also works as a mentor with photographers starting out in project photography.

Member of  “Alligators” art group.
